Achieving a personal best score of 78.83%, Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro laid the fundament of the first ever golden team medal for British dressage. The impressive son of Negro ranked fourth in the Grand Prix of the European Championships in Rotterdam, only yielding to the likes of Uthopia, Parzival and Totilas.
Valegro was bred by Joop and Maartje Hanse. Gert Jan van Olst bought Valegro as a foal and sold him to Carl Hester at age three.
