In the collection of the VDL Stud stallions have a number of notable changes occurred. From abroad there was much demand for VDL stallions, so Boss VDL and VDL Azteca moved to the Scandinavian countries Sweden and Norway.

The 6-year-old KWPN stallion VDL Boss, Champion Stallion in 2009, is leased to Gransbo stud in Sweden. In Sweden he will be used for breeding and will be ridden in sport by Peter Eriksson. Boss VDL was quickly approved by the Swedish Studbook and is very popular in Sweden. The dark bay stallion stands out for its beautiful exterior and his good jumping technique. Boss VDL has a great dam line. His mother Nisolde also brought the KWPN approved stallion Dakar and the international jumpers Sunsolde and Anisolde. Both jumpers perform at high-level with Swedish riders. Sunsolde was Swedish Junior Champion and Anisolde was for 2 years ago Swedish champion of the 5-year old jumpers.

The 7-year-old Indoctro-son Azteca VDL is leased to Norway. Azteca VDL is leased to Norway for breeding. The stallion was a 3-year-old KWPN stallion champion of the autumn stallion test. Azteca's descended from the famous Shoraya-lines, also the Grand Prix stallions like Bubalu VDL, VDL Pessoa and Verdi are descending from this same motherline.

The KWPN approved stallions Campbell VDL and VDL Bacardi moving abroad with a view to their future sporting careers. Campbell VDL is ‚Äč‚Äčavailable to the U.S. Grand Prix rider Candice King. She will train the stallion and compete with them in sport. The young combination has so far been very successful. They already made some clear rounds in 1.40m classes and last week they placed 5th in the 1.45m Grand Prix of Wellington with a clear round in the jump. A very good result for the 8-year old stallion.

The Corland-son Bacardi VDL moved to the stables of Jos Lansink.in Belgium. Bacardi was one of the most outstanding horses of his age-group. The VDL Stud allows the 6-year-old stallion training with Jos Lansink in order to later perform at the highest level.

The by Zangersheide approved stallion VDL Carosso went with Dennis van Tilburg to Belgium to develop further in the sport at international level.

Of all stallions frozen semen is available at the VDL Stud in Beers.
