Many riders show their talent at qualification

Lemwerder, Germany – Last Saturday, the 30th of April 2016, hundreds of young riders showed their Talent at the "Preis der Oeffentlichen Versicherungen" (price of the public insurances) at Hof Sosath, the second qualification for the Junior's Championship of Oldenburg. Furthermore a talent sighting took place.

The qualification drew many visitors to the stud in Lemwerder. The stallion station under the slogan "Breeding and sport in one place" hosted a competition for the first time. Despite the unstable weather, the young riders showed great sport. With 270 registered participants, the dressage and jumping competitions took place on the outside area and indoor arena from 7.30 am to 6 pm. Many volunteers helped to guarantee a smooth order of events.

The Juniors of the combined competition of the class E had to get up early. Well rested had and in top form was Lene Sofie Brandt (Nordenhamer RC e.V.) with Susi, who won the competition.

The class A was divided into two groups. Eske Schierhold (RV Höven e.V.) with Mary Poppins won the jumping of the first group, Mareile Bielefeld (RUFV Hooksiel) with Clooney and Malin Heinemann (Ammerländer RC v.06 e.V.) with Liz ranked second and third. The second group was won by Ida Janetzko (RUFG Falkenberg e.V.) with Billy-Blue, right behind them were Friedrich Wassenberg (PSV Löningen-Ehren e.V.) with Caresse Z and Johanne Geue (RC Hude e.V.) with Mad Max WE.

With a mark of 7,7, Jule-Manja Stolzenberger (RURV Rastede) with Moonlight Star won the dressage competition of the first group. Placed second and third were Nina Wagner (RUFV Cloppenburg) with Don’t Touch and Nele Idelmann (RV Höven e.V.) with Janett. Ahead in the second group were Elisa Braune (TG Bad Zwischenahn) with Nacro’s Dancer, followed by Lea-Marie Grätz (TG Bad Zwischenahn) with Coolio and Therese Koldehoff (RFV Langförden e.V.) with Der Clooney.

The 30 pairs with the best marks of all qualifications will compete in the final at the "Landesturnier" in Rastede.

The jumping class L was won by Friedrich Wassenberg (PSV Löningen-Ehren e.V.) with Caresse Z, who achieved a mark of 8,0. Second became Malin Alberts (RV Höven e.V.) with Cascada, ranked third was Juliane Albers (RuFV Saterland und Umgebung e.V.) with Madora. The victories of the dressage class L went to Antonia Busch-Kuffner (RV Ganderkesee) with Conroyal and to Loort Fleddermann (RC Hude e.V.) with Sandro.

The twelve pairs with the best marks in either dressage or jumping of the two talent sightings will compete in Rastede in the final.

Special prizes for multi-talented riders and fair riding

The especially fair riders were honoured with prizes sponsored by Alvorado Reitsport. Eske Schierhold (RV Höven) was awarded in the dressage section, Johannes Beeken (RUFV Bösel e.V.) in the jumping section. They were particularly considerate in terms of their horse, other horses and other people.
The multi-talented riders were honoured, too. Celine Burgdorf (RC Hude) and Rieke Kahlen (TG Bad Zwischenahn) achieved the best combined marks of dressage and jumping in their classes, they enjoyed their prices sponsored by Alvorado Reitsport and German Horse Pellets.

Coxy was secret star of the competition

The little Shetland Pony Coxy was in the focus again on Saturday. He brought the ribbons to every award ceremony and made everyone smile.

Will there be another Junior’s Championship?

Micheal George, the first chairman of the Oldenburger Reiterverband, was enthusiastic: “We hope to be here as guests again, soon. The atmosphere and organisation was a highlight for everyone.”
Gerd Sosath seemed optimistic: “We are happy that all the juniors were here. All participants had a lot of fun, even though the weather was to worry about at first. But our great team managed everything very well. I liked the warm-up on Friday very much, it gave many riders assurance in the competition.”

The happy winners and placed recieved not only ribbons but valuable priced, sponsered by German Horse Pellets, Derby Kraftfutter, Alvorado Reitsport and Jose Alvarez Reitsport.
