The Oldenburg Young Stallion Champion goes to Gerd Sosath

Dec 12, 2016 - 10:08

Fürst Fabrice, the young champion of the 2016 Oldenburg stallion licensing, will go to Gerd Sosath's stallion station. He was purchased by Adrian Gasser, of Switzerland, as the highest priced horse of the Vechta auction. After showing so much promise in the licensing and auction, Mr. Gasser and Gerd Sosath made a plan for the naturally gifted dressage prospect. Gerd Sosath is looking forward to the new relationship: "I was delighted with Fürst Fabrice at the licensing. We will now break him in and train him very slowly. He will be shown first at our stallion show in Vechta on Saturday, February 11th. Adrian Gasser and I have the same beliefs on a young stallion's education. I am looking forward to the cooperation."

Fürst Fabrice was named the Young Stallion Champion due to his beautiful type, correct conformation, rhythmic gaits, and a balanced character.
His sire, Fürstenball OLD, was the Oldenburg Young Stallion Champion of 2008, the Main Premium Award Winner of 2010 and Bundeschampion in 2011. Currently, he is victorious in competitions up to Prix St.-George, with Ines Westendarp. He comes out of the Oldenburg "Mon Amour" family.
His dam Casablanca by Sandro Hit - Castro produced the licensed stallion Lonken's Fiandro by Fidertanz, who has just been named reserve champion at the performance test in Neustadt/Dosse. The granddam, Carmelita, was successful in 1.30m jumping classes. She also produced the Oldenburg Champion of the three-year-old riding horses, Don Primeur OLD by Don Primero, who was also the highest priced horse of the Vechta auction in 2009 (505.000 Euro). Fürst Fabrice originates from the "Creone" damline, which produced the successful jumping horses Granni West by Gragenit, Lucky Life by Life is Life, Condor by Carpalo, Zancara and Zalido by Zapateado as well as Cold Seavers by Coromino. The Grand-Prix-stallion Elevation by Ecuador xx, the Intermediaire I successful Springsteen by Sandro and Ziwago by Zeus are licensed stallions out of the damline.

Fürst Fabrice is part of Sosath's new collection of 20 breeding sires. Additionally, there are two more new stallions: Comme Prévu, a three-year-old Westphalian premium stallion by Comme il faut - Quinta Real - Balou du Rouet and a two-year-old Hanoverian by Lord Argentinus - Lex Lugar - Couleur-Rubin.

In addition to the newly acquired young stallions, the jumping sires Cador, Campitello, Casalido, Casino Berlin, Casino Grande, Casiro, Diamant de Plaisir, Diamant de Landor, Levisonn, Lordanos, Naldo and Ogano as well as the dressage sires Adoro, Ampère, Beniro, Devonport, Florenz, For Dance and Honoré du Soir will also be available in the next breeding season from Hof Sosath.
