Dutch dressagerider Edward Gal won his 9th senior title at the National Championships with his nine your old stallion Glock’s Zonik (Blue Hors Zack x Romanov x Don Schufro). With a spectacular and superb Freestyle to Music, Zonik captured the title after being runner-up in the Grand Prix.

Edward Gal tells about his championships horse Zonik: “Zonik is only nine years old, but he does really really well. This was only his fourth Grand Prix and his second Freestyle. I am very happy the way he does his job. It is important that we take the time with him, Glock’s Zonik is really a very special horse. I think he needs another year of maybe two to really develop into a top-class Grand Prix Horse. Every show is going better and that gives high hopes for the future.”

After consulting with Dutch chef d’equipe Rien van der Schaft the decision is made that Glock’s Zonik will not compete at the European Championships in Gothenburg next month. The son of Blue Hors Zack gets time to the to develop and will probably an international championships horse for coming years.
