Christmassy atmosphere at "Breeders' Advent" 2017

On the first Advent weekend, the Sosath stud celebrated an atmospheric "Breeders' Advent". New stallions, established sires and their families were presented in the Christmassy decorated indoor arena. Everyone mingled and danced to live music until late at night.

Three young stallions that came from the main licensings will enrich the stallion collection of the station next season. The two-year-old son of Vagabond de la Pomme x C-Indoctro x Uniek was licensed at the Oldenburg stallion-days and impressed with his modern type in hand. On the screen, the breeders got an idea of his free jumping and the impressive performance of his sire Vagabond de la Pomme. The two-year-old Oldenburg stallion by Van Vivaldi x Stedinger x Don Primero showed convincingly in front of the big audience. Just a few days after arriving in Lemwerder, the Hanoverian youngster by the triple World Champion Sezuan x St. Moritz x Glenfiddich called attention of the breeders.

The Oldenburg stallion of the year, Casino Berlin, paraded with his half-sister Londina by Lordanos. His son Casino Grande and the stallions Comme Prévu by Comme il faut and Casalido by Casall were presented by Hendrik Sosath under saddle. Under the guidance of Gerd Sosath, they gave an insight of the daily training over the fences.

The five-year-old Oldenburg-International Main Premium Winner Ogano by Ogano Sitte x Diarado was presented in hand. His young daughter out of Chandra by Landor S x Cor de la Bryère, the winner of the evaluation of his first offspring, was presented as well.

Once more, the visitors were impressed by the dressage stallions of the station of show jumper Gerd Sosath. The Oldenburg Stallion Champion of 2016, Fürst Fabrice von Fürstenball x Sandro Hit, and the current Oldenburg Main Premium Vice Winner, For Dance von For Romance x Rubiloh, were age-appropriately presented by Rieke Schnieder. Of course, the "Bundeschampion" of the four-year-old riding stallions could not miss the event. Devonport was honoured by the whole team once more. Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen commented all training sessions and made clear what he especially places importance on. Kathrin Madlen Sladek demonstrated with Honoré du Soir by Easy Game x Latimer, that is leased to the Trakehner stud Loebnitz, great dressage riding.

In the two family-pictures, the special dam lines of the Sosath breeding were shown. The first picture around Lady Heida I showed the mare herself, her daughter Lady Lordana by Lordanos, that competes in 1.55 m classes, Cantone, a five-year-old Casario II-daughter, that is victorious in young jumping classes, Lady Pleasure by For Pleasure and her son, the Hanoverian Champion of the four-year-old jumpers of 2016 and the 7th in the final of the "Bundeschampionat", Diamant de Plaisir by Diamant de Semilly.

The second picture was all about the stallion mother Lady Heida II. Her three daughters Cadora by Catoki, successful in 1.50 m competitions, Lady Cadora by Catoki, Oldenburg-International Mare Champion of 2014 und Vice County Champion of the six-year-old jumpers 2017, and Lady Diamantina by Diamant de Semilly entered the arena with their mother. Afterwards, Diamant de Landor by Diamant de Semilly, just back from the 50-days-test with an end mark of 8,75, presented his rideability under saddle.

In between the presentations, the musicians "Twinns" laid a festive atmosphere on. Many breeders mingled and celebrated until late at night. The event was broadcasted live by ClipMyHorse. Premium-members can watch it in the archive. Kiki Beelitz published an impression video.

The next events of the Sosath Stud are already planned. On Saturday, the 10th of February 2018, the big stallion show will take place at the horse centre at Vechta. The Easter weekend will be eventful in Lemwerder. The Open Day with the Lemwerder foal championship will be at Easter Saturday, the 31st of March 2018. On Easter Sunday, the 1st of April 2018, everyone can take to the floor at the Easter Ball with a live band.
