An evening with the Sosath Stallions - live at

Jan 12, 2018 - 18:08

On Saturday, the 10th of February at 7 pm, Gerd Sosath will present his 20 breeding stallions and a selection of their offspring in the auction hall at Vechta. The stallion station operates under the slogan "Breeding and sport together in one place". The presentation will be broadcasted live via

Within the program, the stallions and their families will be shown. In addition to the well known stallions, there are three promising new members at the Sosath stable.

Gerd Sosath is very proud of Vagabond by Vagabond de la Pomme x C-Indoctro x Uniek. "I have bought him at the dutch 'Prinsjesdag foal auction'. At our stud, he has always been the leader of the group and he stand out during each training." Vagabond was licensed in Oldenburg as the first son of Vagabond de la Pomme.

The two more young stallions bring new dressage blood. The Hanoverian St. Patrick by Sezuan x St. Moritz x Glenfiddich and the Oldenburg horse Van Primero by Van Vivaldi x Stedinger x Don Primero make a great job under saddle and will be shown at Vechta for the first time.

Surely, the proven stallions will be in Vechta, too. The jumpers Cador, Casalido, Casino Berin and Casino Grande, Casiro and Comme Prévu will be there as well as Diamant de Landor, Diamant de Plaisir, Lyon and Ogano.
The dressage stallions will be represented by Devonport, Florenz, For Dance, Fürst Fabrice und Honoré du Soir.
As the station is known for their "family portraits", some the mothers, sisters and other relatives of the home-bred stallions will be shown.

All stallions and further information can be found on or on facebook (Hof Sosath). Tickets are available at our station (via E-Mail to or telephone +49 (0) 421-675863). For anyone who is unable to attend the live show at Vechta, but is interested in viewing the presentation can watch the whole show live on the internet, at

The next event will be the Open Day at Easter Saturday, March 31st.
The 10th Lemwerder foal championship, stallion presentation and a great exhibition about horses, garden and lifestyle make this Open Day a trip for the whole family.
